Verify an IORI
Confirm a property's identity before going ahead.
If a listing, an offer or a professional gives you an IORI, you can check here whether the code is valid and, in the IOMI register, whether it matches an active property.
- Enter the identifier
- Check the format and the check digit
- Look up the status in the IOMI register
Validating the format does not confirm that the property exists. Confirmation is done in the application.
How to read an IORI
- PT
- The property's country. IOMI starts in Portugal and the identifier is already prepared for other European Union countries.
- 4F7A-22C9-014
- Eleven randomly generated characters, so as not to reveal how many properties exist. They do not use the letters I, L, O and U, which are easily confused with digits.
- T
- Check character. It detects any single-character error when the code is copied or read out.
What the check confirms, and what it doesn't.
- Confirms
- That the code is a valid IORI and whether it is linked to an active property on IOMI, after the documents have been verified.
- Does not confirm
- The price, current availability or the property's legal situation. IOMI's documentary verification does not replace advice from qualified professionals.
- Does not show
- The exact address, the owner or documents. That information stays in the secure area, with controlled access.
